About James Morton

Jim was born in Brooklyn and raised in the Town of Catskill when his parents felt it was time to leave the big city in the early '90's.  They built their new home on land that had previously been an apple orchard and was in the family for over a century.  Jim's ancestors have a long history of escaping city life to live in the Catskill Mountains,  His great-grandmother actually was the proprietor of a summer boarding house in the quaint town of Leeds.  After completing high school, Jim headed to SUNY Delhi where he earned an Associate's Degree in Construction Technology.  He then earned a Bachelor's Degree in History from SUNY Oneonta.  About 12 years ago, Jim and his wife fell in love with Kingston and decided to plant their roots there.  They enjoy exploring all that our beautiful area has to offer.  With a deep appreciation for the Catskills and the Hudson Valley, along with over 20 years in customer service, Jim is eager to help you discover the area and help you with the purchase of your dream home or land.  Jim can also help you sell your property quickly and for the best price.
